Symptoms include itching, dry skin, red rashes, and blisters. Affected people should make sure when choosing glasses that no nickel is present. Even if it is coated with another material, nickel may be exposed if the upper material is chipped off and thus comes into contact with the skin. Titanium glasses are definitely one of the best alternatives here.

Japanese titanium is proven to be the purest and therefore the highest quality available on the market. Extraction of titanium is expensive
Yes, you have to dig deeper into your pocket for titanium glasses. This is due to the complex material extraction and processing, a highly technical process that is necessary before the material can be used for the production of eyewear frames. However, thanks to its durability, it is also a long-term companion. A potentially slightly higher initial price investment will soon pay off, because the price-performance ratio is right and everyone who chooses titanium glasses will undoubtedly be able to enjoy them for a long time.

At CHARMANT, we remain deeply convinced of the use of titanium in our frames and over the years have become renowned and respected titanium experts. In 1987 we were one of the first eyewear manufacturers in the world to launch a collection made entirely of titanium - a real sensation at that time.
Over the many years that we have been working with titanium, we have overcome numerous technological barriers and acquired an enormous amount of experience and know-how. We have developed our own patented titanium alloys and the machines that are needed to process them optimally.
Japanese titanium is still a fundamental component of our CHARMANT collections today. However, a decisive difference lies in the breadth of our portfolio. Where there was only one titanium line in 1987, today we can answer the needs of many different wearers with our house brand collections, all made mostly of titanium.
