THE TRENDS FOR SPRING AND SUMMER 2020

Trend colours and shapes that await us for S/S 20

Trends come and go! Some inspire us to follow them while others just put a question mark on our foreheads. And some trends come to stay and become classics, loved and worn for years. Why? Because they are simply, timelessly beautiful. Take the Chanel suit, or the "little black dress" or the Burberry trench coat as just a few classic examples.

Whether you follow fashion trends or not is up to you. But hand on heart - very few of us can deny that we are unaffected by new colours. At one time or another we’ve been secretly gleeful over that accidental purchase in a new shade that then went viral two months later. Yes, deep down we are all trendsetters!

To see what eyewear trends are happening this spring/summer 2020, just read on...

COLOUR TRENDS SPRING/SUMMER 2020

RICH REDS

Red has stridden international catwalks for years. But it’s the fresh, new-season shades that continue to excite us and demonstrate how versatile the colour of love is. Rich, strong tones play the main role this season. They create highlights that can be wonderfully combined with many other colours. Red-in-red combinations also have a very special appeal. At CHARMANT we have a soft spot for this rousing shade. Check out our on-trend red glasses!

BRIGHT BLUES

Blue is a staple of previous seasons, but this year designers manage to pull off the most unexpected new hues. “Digital Blue” is the official term on global trend platforms for one of this season's most thrilling tones. And by the way, did you know that blue is the favourite colour of most people worldwide? Of course, we have something up our sleeve here too. Ta-da! May we introduce: some of our current favourite true blue frames

PURPLE NUANCES

We’ve taken another trend tone to heart in all its nuances: purple! Be it soft lilac or stronger plum shades - a splash of purple conjures up a fresh touch in every look and is one of the most popular colours this spring! What kind of purple glasses do we have to offer? Voilà!

And no wonder! They tease and tantalise and are an absolute eye-catcher. And don't worry about the fashion investment! It’ll pay for itself because you’ll be taking out these evergreens again and again over the coming seasons. Here’s how we captured the cat eye look in new frames…

PILOT SHAPE AKA THE AVIATOR

Classic and hip! Here’s another eyewear trend you can’t do without - any summer: aviator glasses. This iconic look suits practically any face shape. Plus, it's just cool! For spring/summer 2020, the aviator often features a double bridge, adding a contemporary inflection. In our opinion, aviator glasses should be in every household fashion frame collection, because they are always the right choice, regardless of the occasion. Here’s a look at some of our new CHARMANT aviators...
